Why photography?
While in college Ash studied photography. Product, portraiture, nature, editorial, large format, etc. Learning how to do all different types of photography taught her the technical side of this profession but it also led her to realize what she loves to shoot - love, life, and loss in the form of raw, intimate, authenticity - (plus horror themed portraiture and concert photography) and reminded her that it’s just as important to focus on the artistic side of it all. A better way to phrase that would be that she realized why she is a photographer.
"My “why” and true passion when it comes to photography is being able to make a connection and tell a story. I've always considered myself an artist and now light is my tool in capturing and creating moments. I want to make the memories of you and your loved ones last for generations, to pass on a story through photographs. The sad reality that nothing lasts forever and life is short is why my job is so important to me. Being able to give people photographs that remind them how beautiful they are, how in love they are, or of the ones who love them is an incredible feeling. Photographs are timeless, but we as humans (and animals) are not. My goal when photographing you is to capture your story. Best told in these lyrics from one of my favorite singers, Lights, "Maybe we live just to tell our story, and how to get there". Whether it's a love story, the magic of motherhood, showing you how empowering self-love is, saying “I Do”, or the dreadful goodbyes. I want to capture the authentic moments that make you feel alive. I document the now to let you remember later.
I look forward to getting to know you more and cannot wait to capture your sweet moments!"

Behind the lens
A spooky alt ghoul who finds inspiration in nature.
Hyello! I'm Ash, a 29-year-old photographer, artist, adoring wife, and witchy mama of a zoo (three cats, two dogs, a snake, some geckos, and a bunch of arachnids) who was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, and now dwells in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. Howdy! You're choosing to let me into your life, so let me tell you a bit about mine!
Virgo sun, Taurus moon, Cancer rising. I was born with Arthrogryposis, frequently advocate for mental health, as well as human rights, and I am a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ and beyond. I enjoy reading novels, writing poetry, playing video games (kinda badly) with my husband, creating in multiple capacities, getting tattoos, wandering wildflowers, and celebrating Halloween every day of the year. I'm an avid concert goer (and concert photographer), I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts or the same emo bands I've listened to since 2005 while I work, changing my hair color (frequently), checkered print has me in a chokehold, and I own one too many shades of mauve lipstick. My mottos are stay spooky, always radiate sunshine, and live unapologetically your authentic self.
My passion for photography started as a child who was given disposable cameras on family vacations and looked forward to getting the film developed. Since then, I have worked diligently on turning my passion into a career.
In 2013, I graduated from Las Vegas Academy, where I majored in Visual Arts and Technical Theatre. In 2016, I graduated from the College of Southern Nevada, where I received my Associate's degree in Commercial Photography. I met the love of my life on my 18th birthday, which just so happened to be a Friday the 13th. It was only fitting that we also got married on a Friday the 13th (October 13, 2017!). In 2018, we moved halfway across the world to Baumholder, Germany, good ole military wife life. In March 2021, we moved back to Las Vegas, where we got to spend a few precious years with family and friends, and grow my business at the place it all began. Then, at the end of 2023, we found ourselves in the beautiful North Central part of Texas, and we decided we wanted to call this place home for a long while! Stay tuned for what comes next in our story!
Because that's the beauty of life, it is one big story to tell.
OH YEAH~
I also love to travel, meaning I'm available for hire wherever you are!
